Some Of Our Recent Projects:

Lancaster Residence

Location: Arcata

Installed at the Lancasters is their very own microgrid! 24 SunPower 327W AC panels were installed and integrated with a SolArk 8K Hybrid Inverter/Charger and Fortress Power battery. Their main service panel was also upgraded to accommodate their essential energy needs. During the next PG&E power safety shut off, the Lancasters will be disruption-free.

Kelley Residence

Location: Hydesville

Here we have a 7.85 kw SunPower solar system at the Kelley residence. This system consists of 24 327W AC panels, InvisiMount mounting/racking, and a PVS6 monitoring kit. The Kelley's system installed on their barn is able to offset the main house's usage. With SunPower's unbeatable warranty, the Kelleys are guaranteed to produce clean energy for the next 40 years.

Sousa Residence

Location: Bayside

Installed at the Sousa Residence is a 4.6 kW consisting of SunPower 327 watt AC PV Modules, SunPower Invisimount Racking System and a SunPower EnergyLink Monitoring System. Now the Sousa home will be powered by clean energy for over 40 years, reducing, and at times completely eliminating, their electric bill. SunPower designs with aesthetics in mind so all curb appeal is maintained while increasing the home value

Wilson Residence

Location: McKinleyville

The Wilson family had us install a 3 zone radiant floor heating system in their McKinleyville home. This job consisted of a radiant system using a Triangle Tube Boiler with Pex Tubing into Warmboard subfloor. Here are pictures of their in-progress installation. People with allergies often prefer radiant heat because it doesn’t distribute allergens like forced air systems can.

Hapgood Residence

Location: Arcata

For the Hapgood residence we installed a 4 zone radiant floor heat system. As always, we first performed a Manual J home heat load calculation to make sure our system design will fulfill the client’s needs. With four separately controlled zones for living room, bathroom, bedroom and master bedroom the system saves energy by only heating the parts of the home you need, resulting in lower wasted energy. Radiant floor heating systems are more efficient than baseboard heating and usually more efficient than forced-air heating because it eliminates duct losses.

Delfino Residence

Location: McKinleyville

Installed at the Delfino residence we have a 7.13kW solar energy system including twenty-five SolarWorld 290W PV modules, each outfitted with a 400W SolarEdge Optimizer and tied into a SolarEdge Grid Tied Inverter and communication monitoring hub. The double Tesla Powerwall installed at the Delifino residence is a fully-integrated AC battery system with a energy storage capacity of 28 kWh. Its rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack provides energy storage for solar self-consumption, load shifting, and backup.

Ralph Residence

Location: Arcata

Our crew recently finished an installation of a 4.56kW Solar array for CJ Ralph. He also had an Aquacal Icebreaker 166R pool air source heatpump installed to heat the pool. The solar system combined with the efficiency of the pool heater will definitely help reduce CJ’s energy expenditures as well as his carbon footprint. This system replaces a solar hot water system with gas back up that gave him many years of service

CJ said this with regards to the work, “Despite a complex job, they did a fine job of installation of a bunch of solar panels and a heat pump for a pool. All is working fine. They really care about their job and are enthusiastic. Wonderful to have available.”

Pryor Residence

Location: McKinleyville

Pictured here is the Bryant 926T furnace, Daikin 2 zone heat pump and 6.1 kW grid tied photovoltaic system. The furnace was replaced, ducts cleaned and sanitized and the furnace was relocated to the attic to supply heat to the second floor. The heat pump was installed with 2 heads to supply heat to a bedroom and family room on the first floor.

Wahlund Residence

Location: Eureka

Wanda had us put up a 4.06kW system for her. The system is comprised of 290W SolarWorld panels and Enphase IQ-6 Microinverters. The use of microinverters along with additional roof spaces makes this an ideal system layout. It provides the owner with the energy offset they need now, while allowing them to easily add additional panels at a later date should their energy needs increase.

Garlick Residence

Location: Fieldbrook

Here we have a 4.2kw Roof mounted solar system, using LG panels and Enphase microinverters at the home of Don Garlick. We also installed a Daikin 36k Minisplit heat pump with 2 wall mounted indoor units. The whole system should greatly reduce the homeowners energy needs while bringing some added comfort during the cold winter months. In 2008 we installed a new solar hot water system with wood stove and electric back up.
